RE: Politics: Edwards Admits Affair to ABC News

Well, he's definitely a huge heel here, but I think we can also all agree that neither party has the upper hand in matters of virtue, morals or family values. :)

And, I would add, also a shame that Edwards took such advantage of his wife's health circumstances for political gain while he was otherwise involved with extracurricular activity. Any agree?

Of course, we agree, BRM. No doubt how stupid and low Edwards is to have had an affair while his wife is fighting cancer. There's nothing partisan about this, at all. But I have two words for the hypocritical Repubs who intend to make this an issue: Newt Gingrich. Or shall I say Larry Craig?

Regardless, why can't Americans get off this addiction to damning political careers for sleeping around? Is this really the best way to evaluate a politician? And why are the French and other Europeans not so judgmental like us when it comes to personal transgressions? Are they so much more morally bankrupt than us? This is absolutely related to how religion has become a political weapon in this country. It's shameful all around.
