Last Minute Election Predictions?

Okay, people... Who will win and by how much? Which states will go for McCain, or Obama?

I want to see your predictions.

  1. With the spectre of inaccurate voter roll reductions and vote-tampering still looming, I would have to say that it is difficult for me to make a prediction. Polls in general seem to indicate an Obama victory, but I prefer to withhold any prognostications, lest any disappointments, should they occur, would have a severe impact on me. Kinda lame, I know, but that's how I feel.

  2. Psychologically, I'm preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.

Of course, in our bubble, we believe Obama will win. Then, I talk to people outside of our little Cabal - and reality hits. Me thinks, this ain't Sweden, and America may not be ready for the kind of change that many of us believe in. But then there's the stock market, if a 20 or 40% loss in a 401k doesn't convince an American to change course, I don't know what will?

As far as "states" are concerned. I'll go out on a limb and predict that Texas will fall into the McCain camp. Sorry, BM - I think that Obama will win Ohio - even if "Joe the wanna be something" does not support him. We shall see.

  3. BA and I talked on the phone last night, and I would say this instead of a prediction: If the early numbers from Virginia, Pennsylvania and Florida are favorable for Obama tomorrow night, the deal is done.

Sorry, Sen. McCain, but I feel that if you truly were a maverick, you would have run against Dubya in 2004; you might have had a better shot at beating a Democrat then than you do now. Of course, it would have been near impossible to take down the incumbent GOP president, but, hey, that's what a real maverick would have done.
